Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account details: your email address and, if you sign up with a password, the password — which our authentication provider stores only as a secure hash. We never see it in plain text.

If you sign in with Google, Discord or Facebook: the basic profile that provider shares with us, such as your name, email address and profile picture.

Waitlist: the email address you give us.

Activity in the app: your simulated trades, positions, balances and challenge results.

Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps, which we use for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.

2. How we use it

To create and run your account and challenges, keep Funded Hunch secure, prevent abuse and multi-accounting, fix problems, and contact you about your account, your waitlist place and the launch.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who processes it for us

Supabase — authentication and database.

Cloudflare — website hosting, DNS and network security.

Google — Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics, only if you accept analytics (see section 4).

Amazon Web Services — hosting of our trading engine.

These providers process data on our behalf and only to provide their services. Your data may be stored or processed in countries other than yours, including the United States.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use the browser storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as light or dark mode, and one cookie that records your analytics choice.

Analytics, only with your consent: if you click Accept on our cookie card, we use Google Analytics on fundedhunch.com and app.fundedhunch.com to count visits and see which pages and screens are used. It sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and sends page views, such as the page address and your approximate location and device type, to Google. We turn off Google signals, ad personalisation and advertising features, and we don't send your email address, name or anything about your trades. If you click Decline, or make no choice, none of this loads. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer; declining deletes the analytics cookies.

Our mobile apps use Firebase Analytics (from Google) and Vexo to see which screens are used, and Sentry to receive crash reports. The apps do not use the advertising identifier, and we do not send your email address or anything about your balances or trades to these services.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists, and deleted or anonymised within 30 days after you ask us to delete it, except where we must keep records for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.

Waitlist emails are kept until launch or until you ask us to remove them.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including to object to or restrict processing and to complain to a data protection authority. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege infrastructure to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Funded Hunch is not for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email.
